Q: What is your name/stage name?

A: “I am Mafia Fetti, a 27-year-old hip-hop artist from Woodbine, New Jersey. Over the years, I have undergone several name changes, but Mafia Fetti is the name to focus on.”

Q: Where are you located?

A: “Currently, I am based in Tioga County, Pennsylvania, approximately an hour south of the New York border.”

Q: What are your roles within the music industry?

A: “Primarily, I am an artist dedicated to creation and experimentation. In 2022, I founded a record label, Metaphorical Mafia LLC, and am focused on developing that brand. I recently signed a producer and artist named Cookie_, who is the first artist under management at Metaphorical Mafia. Expect to see more of him soon!”

Q: What inspired you to pursue music?

A: “My passion for music began at a very young age—so early that I can’t pinpoint the exact moment. I attribute this love to my parents, who likely introduced me to music. Music is integral to my life; even after creating my own music, I am constantly engaged with it. It evokes emotions for me that nothing else can.”

Q: What type of music do you create?

A: “I produce various styles of hip-hop and rap. I prefer not to limit myself to one style of beat, so I enjoy experimenting with different sounds. I don’t classify myself as a ‘boom-bap’ or ‘trap-rap’ artist—I simply consider myself an artist.”

Q: How long have you been involved in music?

A: “My musical journey began in fifth grade when I started playing the guitar. This was my first experience with performing music. I had always written poems, which eventually evolved into lyrics due to my deep-seated love for hip-hop and its culture.”

Q: What motivates you to make music?

A: “I create music out of love and necessity—it is an intrinsic part of me. I compose when I am happy, sad, lonely, or angry. Music is my coping mechanism and emotional outlet. I also hope that my music will endure and resonate with others.”

Q: What drives you?

A: “My drive comes from a profound appreciation for the art and self-expression. I am also motivated by a long-standing goal to support the less fortunate and assist those in need. Achieving success is crucial for me to make a meaningful impact.”

Q: Who are your biggest supporters?

A: “My biggest supporters include my family, my brother Mr. Bad, and my producer colleagues Cookie_ and Josiah The Kid.”

Q: Are you signed to a label?

A: “I am currently independent and not seeking a major label contract. If I were to sign with a label, it would be one that has built its brand with integrity and perseverance.”

Q: Are you interested in a record deal, a distribution deal, or neither?

A: “I am open to both record deals and distribution deals. My primary concern is maintaining my creative freedom as both a brand owner and an artist.”

Q: Can you mention some of your collaborations?

A: “I have several major artist features in progress, but I also aim to collaborate with emerging artists before the year ends. Notably, I have a track with Kool G Rap, an artist I deeply admire. Additionally, I continue to work with Mr. Bad of Savo Gang Records, I am featured on the title track of his latest album, ‘Red Rum.’”

Q: What was it like working with these artists?

A: “Collaborating with Kool G Rap was a fantastic experience. He has always been a significant influence on me, and having a song with him was a milestone. Working with Mr. Bad is always a pleasure; I eagerly anticipate the verses he sends.”

Q: Are there any artists you aspire to work with?

A: “There is a long list of artists I hope to collaborate with, but some of the current names include Method Man, Conway The Machine, Snoop Dogg, Da$h, Earl Sweatshirt, Wiki, and Stunna 4 Vegas. I also aspire to work with renowned producers like The Alchemist, DJ Premier, Rick Rubin, Conductor Williams, and Statik Selektah. Additionally, I’d like to collaborate with DJ Flipp and 808 Kartel in the coming years.”

Q: If you could work with one person, dead or alive, who would it be?

A: “It’s difficult to choose just one, but Big L and Mac Miller are two artists I wish were still around and with whom I could collaborate. Rest in peace to both; their contributions are deeply missed.”

Q: Is there anyone else you’d like to acknowledge?

A: “I’d like to give a shoutout to DJLeach from Swaggertown Records and my sister, Christina.”

Q: What are you currently working on?

A: “I am working on several EPs, with release dates to be announced soon. I have a single titled “KNOTS” set to release soon.”

Q: What is your latest release?

A: “My latest single is ‘Love Of Self’ available on major streaming platforms. Additionally, I have released a remix of Kanye West’s track on my YouTube channel. Stay tuned for my next single.”
