I’m from New York City.
The Bronx and Harlem, to be exact.
What do you do?
I’m a rapper and an producer.
How long have you been making music?
I’ve been making for 11 years.
Who’s your biggest inspiration?
My biggest inspirations is Jay-Z, Biggie and Nas.
What genre of music do you create?
I make hip hop. East Coast rap, boom bap, lo-fi, and a lil bit
of trap music. I would love to evolve more in other styles of rap.
What was it like working with (collabs?)
I just started collaborating with other underground artists.
It’s pretty dope, as long as they’re authentic.
What are some features you have?
I have one feature on my first EP, How Novasin Got His Groove Back.
The song is called Waves. The video is out now on YouTube and has
reached over 10,000 views. I also was featured on a song called
Gold York City by Robbie Blaze. And I recently got featured on
a song called Over Expressive by Forever Born New.
What are some features you want to get?
I would love to do a feature with Joey Bada$$. I’m a huge fan of the
Beast Coast movement. I would also love to do a feature with
Dave East. Me and him got similar styles.
Who’s one person, dead or alive, that you’d want to work with?
Nas. One of my strongest attributes, I got from him.
Are you signed to a label?
No, not at the moment.
Do you want a record deal, a distribution deal, or none?
I would love to get a distribution deal.
I wanna have my own label.
Who are your biggest supporters?
Anybody in the Tri-State area who’s really in tune with real rap
and a couple of southern cities like Charlotte and Atlanta.
Where did your name come from?
Movies like King Kong and King of New York. The term “King” seems
superior and plus I wanna be someone that kids can look up to and
set trends. I want everyone to feel like they’re a king or queen.
Or even a God or Goddess.
What are you currently working on?
I’m working on the 2nd installment of How Novasin
Got His Groove Back.
What is your latest release?
My latest release is RZA. Available on all
streaming platforms.
When is your next release?
I don’t have a specific date but just know I’m dropping
something in the fall.
