Kevin Gates is escalating his public dispute with estranged wife Dreka Gates, leveling a series of serious allegations as their legal battle continues. In a video posted to Instagram and reported by Complex, the Louisiana rapper accused Dreka and her family of stealing large sums of money from him, claiming their relationship unraveled after he cut off financial support.
According to Gates, Dreka only moved forward with divorce proceedings once the money stopped. He also alleged that she had an affair with a personal trainer—an accusation Dreka previously denied in May. Gates dismissed her denial and pushed back against what he described as a narrative portraying him as an absent or irresponsible father.
In the video, Gates challenged Dreka to publicly clarify several points. He claimed they had an Islamic marriage rather than a legally binding one, alleged that their children have lived with him for the past two years, and insisted he has remained present in their lives despite the separation. He further alleged that Dreka’s divorce filing came only after he stopped financially supporting her and her family, whom he accused of exploiting him throughout their relationship.
Gates also disputed the timeline presented in Dreka’s divorce documents, suggesting they had been separated since 2020—much earlier than what she stated. He maintained that he continued to fulfill his responsibilities as a partner and parent during that period, even while accusing her of infidelity. He closed his statement with a harsh rebuke, characterizing Dreka as manipulative and dishonest.
Dreka Gates filed for divorce on July 30, 2025, listing July 10 as the date of separation. The former couple had been together for years, with their marriage spanning nearly a decade. In court filings, Dreka is seeking both child support and spousal support. Reports from October indicated she was requesting approximately $27,000 per month for their children and more than $46,000 in spousal support.
Kevin Gates has repeatedly disputed those claims, continuing to assert that their marriage was never legally valid. As of now, Dreka has not publicly responded to Gates’ latest allegations, and the matter remains unresolved in court.
