Riverdale, Georgia has a new name buzzing in the streets—Huncho Markk. If you knew him as UTMR PlugHunxho, it’s time to get familiar with the evolution. The name changed, but the grind is still the same. Now moving under the management of Dillon Cash at Swaggertown Records / Colossal Records, Huncho is ready to take things further than ever before.
Born Marquavious Bohannon on July 21, 2003, in Atlanta, Huncho grew up with music all around him. His parents were heavy on the classics, always playing real R&B and soul—artists like Mint Condition and Erykah Badu. That sound stuck with him, but as he got older, he found his own lane through artists like Chris Brown, Future, and Lil Wayne.
In 2021, he dropped “Pain In My Cup,” his first single. It came from a real place—pain, struggle, reflection—and people felt it. The song picked up momentum online and gave him a taste of what was possible. But Huncho knew if he was gonna level up, it had to start with his image. That’s when he made the switch from PlugHunxho to Huncho Markk—a name that matches who he is now, not who he was back then.
His first live performance came in 2024 at a charity event, where he hit the stage with Dvybez for “Blessing Me.” It was his first time in front of a crowd, but the way he moved on that stage showed he’s ready for more. A few months later, on October 4, he dropped his debut mixtape “Humble Youngin”—a real introduction to who he is as an artist and a person.
Huncho’s not in it for quick fame. He’s building something long-lasting. His music is about truth, pain, lessons, and wins. Every bar comes from something he’s lived through. He’s not trying to sound like anybody else—he’s just being himself.
