OhGeesy is back, and he’s bringing the heat with his latest solo project, Paid N Full. If you’ve been keeping your ear to the ground, you know the West Coast has been experiencing a resurgence in the spotlight over the last year. While California rap has never fully disappeared, it’s safe to say that fresh talent is stepping up in a major way. Artists like Larry June, 310Babii, and Ray Vaughn are climbing the ranks, showing the world that the Golden State is still home to some of the best sounds in hip-hop. OhGeesy, formerly of the iconic Shoreline Mafia, may not be on the same meteoric rise as some of these newcomers, but his solo career is making waves, and Paid N Full is proof of that.
OhGeesy’s latest album has everything fans love about the West Coast sound: that laid-back yet hype energy, catchy hooks, and undeniable swag. Clocking in at 17 tracks and 45 minutes, Paid N Full packs a punch without overstaying its welcome. And while it’s definitely a solo effort, OhGeesy brought in some notable names to round out the project.
Hit-Boy, one of the industry’s top producers, lends his magic to the track “Keep Goin,” giving it a smooth, hard-hitting vibe. Diego Ave, known for his West Coast flair, contributes to several of the other beats, keeping the overall sound cohesive but diverse.
But it’s not just OhGeesy’s vocals that make Paid N Full stand out. He’s brought some serious talent into the mix. Fenix Flexin, a longtime collaborator from Shoreline Mafia, drops some bars on the track “HEAT STICK,” making it feel like a Shoreline throwback. RTB MB pops up on “Digital,” while Kalan.FrFr adds his smooth flow to “Tell Me Something.” Oh, and Lil Tjay makes an appearance on “BABYGIRL,” bringing a bit of that East Coast flavor to the West Coast mix.
One of the biggest surprises, though, is the collaboration with Lefty Gunplay and Wallie the Sensei on “What It Iz.” Both artists gained some major attention after being featured on Kendrick Lamar’s GNX last November, and their appearances here add a fresh dynamic to the project.
The beauty of Paid N Full is how it captures the essence of California hip-hop in 2025. It’s got the energy you expect from the West Coast, but it’s also evolved with the times. OhGeesy’s flow is on point, his delivery confident, and the production never lets up. Whether you’re vibing to the smooth beats or getting hyped to the harder tracks, there’s something for every listener on this album.
