It looks like JAY-Z might be gearing up for new music. According to longtime friend and Roc-A-Fella alum Memphis Bleek, the rap mogul has been back in the booth.
Speaking on Drink Champs, Bleek revealed he recently linked with Hov in Vegas. “I know you working. Save me a verse,” Bleek told him, to which JAY replied, “Alright, I got you.” While Bleek didn’t confirm an official release, his comments sparked hope that fans could finally hear new material from Jay for the first time since his 2017 album 4:44.
Outside of music, JAY-Z has been locked in a legal battle. Earlier this year, he filed a defamation lawsuit against a woman and her attorney after she accused him and Diddy of sexual assault when she was a minor—a claim she later dropped due to inconsistencies. Jay alleges the accusations damaged his reputation and cost him major business opportunities, including contracts worth over $20 million, a $55 million credit line, and a $115 million loan for Roc Nation.
Despite the legal noise, fans are now buzzing about what JAY-Z could be cooking up next.
