Joseph Nash, better known as Real Jnash, is carving his unique space in the competitive world of hip-hop. In this exclusive interview, we sat down with him to discuss his journey, creative process, and what keeps him motivated as an artist.
Q: Real Jnash, thank you for joining us today. Let’s start with how you got into music. What was the moment that made you realize this was the path for you?
Real Jnash: Thanks for having me! Honestly, music has always been a part of me. It all started with this realization that I love being creative. Music became my best way of expressing myself and exploring different sides of who I am. I didn’t have a big plan at first; I just knew I needed an outlet, and music felt right. It gave me a way to reflect my individuality and tell my story in a way that nothing else could.
Q: That’s great to hear. You’ve mentioned before that your music reflects your individuality. How would you describe your style?
Real Jnash: I think my style is all about being real and authentic. I don’t try to fit into any box. I have my own way of creating music, and I’m proud of that. It’s a mix of creativity, honesty, and the desire to connect with others. My sound isn’t something you’ve heard a million times, and that’s something I’m proud of.
Q: You’ve built quite a strong fanbase already, and one of the reasons for that is how relatable your music is. Can you tell us more about how you connect with your audience?
Real Jnash: I appreciate that. For me, it’s all about being real with my audience. I write music that comes from a place of experience, and I think that’s why so many people connect with it. I write about things people go through—emotions, struggles, life in general—and that resonates with a lot of different people. My goal isn’t just to make music; it’s to create an experience where listeners can hear themselves in the songs.
Q: Speaking of your music, collaboration seems to play a big role in your journey. How do you feel about working with other artists and producers?
Real Jnash: Collaboration is huge for me. Working with other talented artists and producers always helps me grow and brings new energy to my projects. I’m always looking to push boundaries and create something unique. My motto is “Banger Banger” because I believe in making tracks that people will remember. But while I love collaborating, I also enjoy maintaining my independence and being in full control of my career. It’s important to stay true to yourself, no matter who you’re working with.
Q: You’ve mentioned before that sharing your personal experiences is what motivates you. Can you dive a bit deeper into that?
Real Jnash: Definitely. A lot of my motivation comes from wanting to share my life with others. Music is my way of telling my story and giving people a glimpse into what I’ve been through. Whether it’s about overcoming struggles or celebrating victories, I feel like it’s important to keep sharing those experiences through my music. When I see my fans connecting with that, it fuels me to keep going. Even when things get tough, it’s that connection that keeps me going.
Q: You’ve built a strong online presence to stay connected with your fans. How important is social media in your career?
Real Jnash: Social media is everything. It’s how I keep my fans in the loop and share new content. I’m always active, engaging with them and letting them know what’s coming next. I’m also open to hearing their thoughts and feedback. They’re not just followers—they’re part of my journey. I think it’s important to maintain that connection, especially as an independent artist.
Q: Let’s talk about your latest single, “From The Jump.” What’s the story behind it?
Real Jnash: “From The Jump” is really just me being honest and setting the tone for where I’m at right now. It’s about starting fresh, going all in, and being unapologetic about my journey. The song reflects that “let’s get to it” attitude. I’m excited for people to hear it and see how it fits into my larger vision for the future.

Real Jnash: There’s a lot in store! I’m always working on new music, and there are some exciting collaborations coming up as well.
