Q: What’s your name and where are you from?
A: I go by DMS TSpitt, and I’m from Louisville, Kentucky.
Q: When did you start making music, and what inspired you to really step up your game?
A: I started back in 2019, but it wasn’t until 2024 that I decided to take things seriously. I felt like it was time to show the world what I’m really about — putting in that work and chasing the dream with no distractions.
Q: How would you describe your musical style?
A: I like to keep it versatile. I don’t wanna be stuck in one lane. I can do melodic rap for those late-night vibes or hit hard with aggressive bars when it’s time to hustle. I pull influences from guys like NBA YoungBoy, EST Gee, Raq Baby, and YtnBias, mixing real emotion with street grit.
Q: Tell us about your breakout tracks.
A: “Meech” was the track that got people listening to me, but “MAD!” really set the tone for what I’m bringing next. That song shows my energy and growth, and it’s just the start.
Q: What’s next for you? Any upcoming projects?
A: I’ve got a new single called “All There” coming soon. It’s gonna highlight even more of my lyrical skills and energy. I’m all about pushing my sound forward.
Q: Do you handle your music in other ways besides just performing?
A: Yeah, I write all my own stuff and I’m involved in directing my music videos. I also do some ghostwriting, minor production, and mixing. I like to stay hands-on with my craft.
Q: Are you signed to a label, or looking for deals?
A: I’m unsigned right now but definitely open to a distribution or record deal that helps me grow but lets me stay real to where I come from.
Q: Who’s in your support crew? Any dream collaborators?
A: My family and guys like YtnBias, SnmKris, and DmsLowskii have my back all day. For collabs, I’m hoping to work with Bhm Pezzy one day, and I’d love to hit the road and tour with him.
Q: What producers are you working with?
A: Right now, I’m working with 400recording’s Frost and Nomad. But I’m always looking for new producers who can help me evolve my sound.
Q: Where do you see yourself in five years?
A: I see myself with a huge fanbase, working with some major artists, and living out the dream I’ve been grinding for since I first rocked a small local bar.
