Ed Sheeran has always prioritized family, and his latest announcement proves it once again. The award-winning singer-songwriter shared on The 2 Johnnies podcast that he and his wife, Cherry Seaborn, will relocate to the United States with their daughters Lyra and Jupiter.
The decision comes as Sheeran prepares for an extended U.S. tour. “I’m just about to move to America,” he said. “I can’t dip in and out. We’re going and settling there.”
Sheeran, 34, has balanced fame with family life for years, often retreating to his Suffolk estate when not touring. But with two children under six, the move ensures stability while he works. He even managed a laugh about it, saying: “I feel like I might be the only person moving to America.”
The Grammy winner hasn’t announced his exact destination, though Nashville remains a strong possibility. Known for its vibrant music culture, the Tennessee city could also align with Sheeran’s long-term goal of transitioning into country music. “My end goal would be like, I’m gonna move to Nashville and transition to country,” he previously explained.
The idea isn’t just a whim—Sheeran has been planting roots in the States for years. Earlier in 2024, he purchased a Brooklyn apartment for over $10 million, adding to his impressive property portfolio.
