For Chi-G, music is more than just a hobby or a career – it’s a passion that has driven him since his high school days. He started making music by freestyling with his friends and recording his own beats, and he has since poured all of his time, money, and energy into his music. Despite the ups and downs of the industry, Chi-G has never once considered quitting. He is obsessed with music and the culture that surrounds it, and he sees it as a way to connect with others and express himself. Chi-G draws inspiration from his children, who motivate him to work harder every day. He also loves the way that music can bring people together and allow them to relate to one another. He fell in love with music by listening to other artists who could take parts of their lives and turn them into songs that people could relate to. Dr. Dre is his favorite producer of all time, but he is always open to discovering new talent. One of Chi-G’s best songs is “Heavy,” a powerful track that showcases his raw talent and lyrical ability. He has performed at festivals like SXSW and collaborated with multi-platinum artists like Lil Flip, Project Pat, T-rock from Three 6 Mafia, DJ Smallz, and DJ Trap-a-holics. Although he is not signed to a record label, Chi-G is independent and continues to pursue his music career with passion and dedication. Looking to the future, Chi-G is excited to share his new collaborative project with Mr. Lucci, one of Dallas’s biggest independent selling artists. The project will include new visuals to accompany the music, and Chi-G is eager to share his new work with the world. He hopes to collaborate with Mozzy and open for Bino Rideaux in the future.
