Drawing inspiration from icons like Nipsey Hussle, Lil Baby, Drakeo, Mac Dre, and Mozzy, his sound blends rap, trap, hip-hop, and pop, reflecting both the hardships of life and the determination to overcome them.
BONGS’ creative journey has been shaped by real-life experiences. Growing up, music became his escape from chaos and negativity. His path led through challenges with the streets, juvenile hall, and prison, but he has used those experiences to fuel his artistry. Since his release in April 2023, he has been actively dropping music and videos, connecting with artists across the Golden State.
His latest single, “SMITH&WESSON,” details life in the streets, the betrayals of friends, and the importance of resilience. The track captures BONGS’ message of overcoming adversity, standing strong amidst loss, and navigating life’s trials.
