YECR, hailing from Puerto Rico, has carved out a unique space for himself in the music world. Influenced by the loss of his uncle, who tragically passed away in 2022, as well as artists like Anuel AA and XXXTentacion, YECR channels his emotions into his music. His sound is a fusion of underground influences and his Puerto Rican roots, blending raw emotion with authentic vibes that resonate deeply with listeners.
YECR’s latest project, titled “Opps,” draws inspiration from Detroit artists and his friend, Tay. The track captures the energy of his environment while staying true to his roots, making a statement about resilience and growth. “I try to maintain a positive theme in my music, one that describes my life and how I handle things,” he shares.
One of his proudest milestones came when he reached 600K total streams for his album MILKAWAKEE. As he continues to rise in the music scene, YECR’s ambition is clear: “I would love to reach 1M followers or streams on Spotify.”
Through his social media, he works hard to promote his music, sharing it with friends and encouraging them to spread it even further. He hopes his listeners take away one key message from his music: “Nothing is impossible if you put in the effort and take risks.”
