Vanax: Turning Real Life Into Vibes From Jersey City

Vanax is an independent artist out of Jersey City whose music is rooted in real life, growth, and transformation. His journey into music didn’t come from chasing trends — it came from experience. After coming home from prison, Vanax turned to recording as a way to document his life, emotions, and mindset, using music as both therapy and expression. That honesty still defines his sound today.

Influenced by artists like Lil Wayne and Travis Scott, Vanax creates “vibes” — music that blends emotion, atmosphere, and personal storytelling. His first recorded project, “Choose Me,” marked the beginning of a focused path, showing listeners exactly who he is and where he’s coming from. Since then, he’s continued to sharpen his voice, collaborating with artists like Kee Mula while remaining hands-on with his creative direction.

Vanax writes his own lyrics and develops his own visuals and concepts, making sure every release feels authentic. Outside of his own music, he draws inspiration from R&B and soul, which subtly shapes the emotional tone and melodic feel of his work. That influence is especially present in his most recent release, “Thing 4 U,” available now on all platforms.

Currently, Vanax is working on a five-track EP with a unique concept — taking one known idea and expanding it into five different perspectives. It’s a creative risk that reflects his desire to stand out and evolve. Fans can expect his next drop very soon, with new music arriving early in the new year.

With the support of his family, girlfriend, and close friends, Vanax continues to build independently while setting his sights high. His long-term vision includes signing with a major powerhouse like Universal or EMPIRE, performing at Rolling Loud in Miami or Los Angeles, and dropping multiple projects in a single year. Five years from now, he sees himself living off his music, generating income from streams, shows, and creativity — proof that turning pain into purpose can create something powerful.
