Q.) Where are you from?
Homa Bay, Kenya & Nashville, TN
Q.) What are some of your biggest musical influences?
J. Cole, Tyler the Creator, Childish Gambino
Q.) How would you describe your musical style and sound?
My sound blends hip-hop, R&B, and soul, rooted in introspective storytelling and emotional depth. I write with intention, using my lyrics to explore themes like identity, healing, spirituality, and the complexities of the digital age. Sonically, my music ranges from raw, minimalist loops to cinematic, layered production—balancing moody atmospheres with moments of triumph. I fuse rap and melody with a versatile vocal delivery, often pairing poetic verses with soulful expression. At the core, I aim to create immersive, thought-provoking experiences that reflect both personal growth and the larger cultural narrative.
Q.) Can you walk us through your creative process?
My creative process is deeply introspective and layered. I often begin with a feeling, a question, or a personal truth I’m wrestling with, then build around that emotionally. Writing is like journaling for me—raw, honest, and reflective—so lyrics usually come first. From there, I craft or choose production that mirrors the emotional tone of the message. I approach each project as a larger story or world, often blending music with visuals, film, or narrative concepts to create an immersive experience. Collaboration is also key—I value authentic connection and often work with artists who bring new energy or perspective to the process. For me, creation is both therapy and storytelling.
Q.) What message or themes do you try to convey through your music?
My music is a reflection of personal growth, emotional truth, and spiritual searching. I explore themes like identity, mental health, love, trauma, resilience, and the illusion of success in the digital age. At its core, my message is about healing and self-awareness—encouraging people to face their pain, question the systems around them, and embrace who they really are. I speak for those who feel lost or overlooked, and I try to create a sense of hope without ignoring the darkness. Through every song, I aim to remind listeners they’re not alone—and that there’s power in choosing authenticity over illusion.
Q.) Can you tell us about your latest project/album/single and the inspiration behind it?
RISE OF THE LOST is a cultural statement and personal evolution. It’s an album for the generation that’s felt abandoned, overstimulated, and disconnected—the ones navigating identity, love, purpose, and mental health in a world driven by algorithms and illusions. The project explores the overwhelming amount of choices we face today and the paralysis that can come from it. It’s about confronting trauma, seeking healing, and ultimately choosing growth. Sonically, the album moves from high-energy to introspective, ending in a raw yet triumphant finale. RISE OF THE LOST is both a personal journal and a rallying cry—a reminder that even those who feel forgotten can rise.
