Soulja Boy is facing mounting financial pressure as the nearly $4 million civil judgment against him continues to increase with interest accruing each day.
According to court documents, the rapper now owes an additional $1,165 per day in interest while the judgment remains unpaid, causing the total amount to climb steadily as collection efforts continue.
The judgment stems from a civil lawsuit filed in 2021 by a former personal assistant, identified only as Jane Doe. Earlier this year, a California jury found Soulja Boy liable on multiple civil claims, including sexual battery, assault, and intentional infliction of emotional distress, awarding the plaintiff more than $4 million in compensatory damages and additional punitive damages. Soulja Boy has consistently denied the allegations and has said he intends to appeal the verdict.
Since the verdict, the plaintiff has reportedly pursued several avenues to collect the judgment. Among those efforts is a request to seize revenue generated by Soulja Boy’s music royalties and other residual income to help satisfy the debt. As long as the balance remains unpaid, interest will continue accumulating at more than $1,000 each day.
The lawsuit alleged that the woman worked as Soulja Boy’s personal assistant between 2019 and 2020 before their professional relationship allegedly became abusive. During the trial, the plaintiff accused the rapper of repeated physical and sexual abuse. Soulja Boy denied those claims throughout the proceedings, arguing that the verdict was unsupported by the evidence presented in court.
While the rapper’s appeal remains pending, the financial consequences of the judgment continue to grow. Unless the debt is paid or the judgment is modified through the legal process, the daily interest will keep increasing the amount owed, adding another layer to one of the most significant legal challenges of Soulja Boy’s career.
