Where are you from?
A: “Born in Evanston Illinois, raised in Skokie, living in Chicago currently and I embrace all of that.”
How long have you been in the music industry?
A: “Seriously making music for a little over 3 years. That was the first time I worked with a real engineer by the name of U4EA even though he was just starting to his quality always been fire.”
What is your biggest music accomplishment?
A: “Putting out all the work I have, my portfolio I guess is my biggest accomplishment all together. And I opened for C-Dot Honcho at a strip club. That was wild.”
What’s your next move?
A: “I’m re releasing some old music. The Groovy Tape vol. 1 and Cold Collision. I have another project Called Meet Groovy and video in the cut. Promoting hard and dropping is next for me.”
Are you working on any projects?
A: “Meet Groovy that’s all I can say. My best work yet but it really embodies who I am.”
Where do you see yourself in 1 year?
A: “Performing at Lollapalooza I told myself that this year id get a slot. Hopefully I’ll have a real decent following and momentum in a year to keep climbing too, one hit ain’t enough, one good album isn’t either I want longevity.”
Who inspired you to make music?
A: “Lil Wayne of course and my Tmak and Maul. They made a song still on SoundCloud called “Watch My Surroundings”. They just went crazy no hook….then I went and made a song off my laptop with an Xbox headset called “I been Racing” and I still think its my most played.”
What producers have you been working with?
A: “3 years straight with IamHuseyiny. He’s a lit producer from Switzerland and he’s coming with me. But I’ve worked with a few really dope Producers, I have a song with Cxdy and he’s done internet money music.”
Musical influences?
A: “Drake, Post Malone, Cousin Stizz, The Migos, Chief Keef, Kanye, Lana Del Rey. I have way too many influences I love this art form.”
What age did you start making music?
A: “Probably about 18-19 some of it still on SoundCloud, but I loved doing it. By 21 I was putting out my own shit from my laptop.”
What place/event do you wanna perform at?
A: “Lollapalooza. That’s a home-field Super Bowl for me. Last year I didn’t have tickets to get in. I got a speaker and performed outside of it and people really fucked with me.”
Did anybody push you to make music?
A: “No I jumped right in myself, I always had a love for hip hop and music in general. Performed in front of my lunch period one time in High school for prom tickets from the local radio station and lost to a goofy kid named George.”
What do you want the fans to take from your music?
A: “That you can feel any type of way and put it in a song. There’s a lot of versatility in my music. But its unique to me and I feel like I can get my experiences or dreams across to millions of people for real one day.”
