My name is Politik Da Politician. I came up with Politik and Da Politician was just what I would get called around the way back in the day. So it stuck.

I’m from San Jose, ca in the Bay Area.

4. When did you start making music?
I wrote my first song at 9 yrs old with my younger brother El Gee on the drums, in our garage on Nickel Ave.
5. How serious are you about your career?
Rap is an outlet to express myself as a black man in America. The space I get to do that in is priceless. I’m dead serious about translating that into my brand as an artist and in my career.

Not once.

Marcus Garvey, Malcolm X, John Lennon, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, Kanye West, Mary J Blige, Tupac Shakur, Nas, Virgil Ablogh
8. What got you into making music?
Music runs in my family. My uncle, Clarence Satchell was a founding member of the Ohio Players and I love writing. I’m a writer at heart.

My brother El Gee.

No, I’m fully independent.
12. Have you ever performed?
Yes and I love performing live! No butterflies only ambition on the stage. I enjoy connecting with fans and having them experience my music right there with them.

As of right now, anyone that can go bar for bar with me. I’m open to so much creatively.
14. If you could open for any artist who would it be?
Damn, that’s a hard one to just pick one but definitely opening up for Pusha T would be epic.
15. What’s next for you?
Take My Ball and Go Home is my next album. I want people who enjoy underground hip hop be able to experience a full underground album. We don’t get that enough.
