Meet Rising United Kingdom Music Producer Jay Oracle

What is your name/stage name?
My name is Jason Rhoden
My stage Name is Jay Oracle

Where are you from?
I am born and reside in the United Kingdom
hailing from a samll town named West Bromwich.
No I’m not from London…lol

What do you do?
As a profession I work with youth and community
projects. whether they are from the same area with
particular interests at heart or from other cities
and towns. I have been involved with various projects
addressing the many problems of the community at large.
This has consited of Urban , Rural and Suburban districts.

How long have you been making music?
I have been making music for over twenty five years,
My first produced song were recorded at Smethwick
College studios which were mixed and engineered by
Lecturer Bitty Mclean. I had been unaware that Bitty
Mclean had been responsible for the engineering of
UB40’S debut album “Signing Of”. I became good
friends whilst being encoured
to pursue my dreams in music.

Who’s your biggest inspiration?
My biggest Inspiration well this is split between two people,
I would have to say Dooley Wilson who inspired me with the
classical efforts of “Casablanca” the theme song.

“As Time Goes By” has forever been memorable on my journeys
throughout life. As a drummer who toured with his own band
in London and Paris as well as being a great actor, that
were enough for myself to believe that anything is possible.

My second inspiration would be that of Humphrey Bogart.
He also conveiniently had featured in “Casablanca” in
my eyes he is the greatest actor to feature in any
film amongst any film.

What genre of music do you create?
My main preference or genre as we call it, I would say Lofi
Hip Hop & sometimes I delve into Neo Soul which I’m currently
focusing more into. I had a taste for Boom Bap in my early
tenor but I tend to not focus on such genre any longer.
Personally I felt there were way too many producers out
here, stripping the classical elements on youtube videos.
Exploiting things we appreciate and basically turning it
into some sort of construction work shop. I wasn’t
enlightened by hearing a hundred different versions
of classics like “Above the clouds”.

What was it like working with (collabs?)
Too be honest with you there have been ups and downs just like
with anything in life. Some collabs I would definitely work with
again whilst others, never. My projects have been sporadic due
too attempting to create my own sound. My first collaboration
project had been with Fellow New York artist Flowhipnotic. We
came up with a concept purely out of love for the music as our
debut LP were entitled Floetic Justice. It were
fun making this album during 2016.

What are some features you have?
I have featured with Production group Natural & Secret,
Flowhipnotic, Eclyse, Dead Silence, NateOGDetroit, and Penal T.

What are some features you want to get?
Ive always dreamed of featuring with little Brother, especially
Rapper Big Pooh ! also my G.O.A.T Big Daddy Kane. I guess those
are just dreams but who knows?

Who’s one person, dead or alive, that you’d want to work with?
I’ve always envisoned myself working with 2PAC, another one of
my G.O.A.T..S .. For some reason my earlier work had been hailed
as being compared to those on “ALL EYES ON ME”.

Are you signed to a label?
I am not currently signed to any label
nor have I ever been.

Do you want a record deal, a distribution deal, or none?
I would like to consider the true ins and outs of what a deal
stands for. Joint distribution that benefits both parties,
Subjects along those lines you know what i mean? I’m new
in this field but I’m totally aware of
what I would want, Honestly speaking.

Who are your biggest supporters?
My biggest fans I would say are more my locals, also people
I have collborated with. I managed to get some of their
fans also lol which has helped me to evolve. I always
appreciate the love and support no matter where
it comes from. They all know this!

Where did your name come from?
My name were semi given as well as improvising what i had been
called. The meaning behind my name is that I took the first
letter of my christian name which is Jason. As a youngster I
were always 90% of the time spot on with predictions. I
attained the name Oracle as many would seek council or
advice for various things.

What are you currently working on?
I am currently working on new music for an instrumental LP,
My last offering had been called “Return Of The Leviantan”
produced in 2016. Im unsure on whether I should continue
the sequal as RL2 or to change the chapter completely.

“NateOGDetroit” “SKY 10” a follow up project to our “SKY 9”
efforts released on June 2015.
