1. What’s your name?
My name is Zavier
2. Where are you from?
I’m from Orange County, CA
3. How old are you?
I’m 24 years old
4 .When did you start making music
I started making music when I was 18. After I graduated high school.
5. How serious are you about your career?
I’m as serious as I am about breathing. As cliche as it sounds, I know I’m built for this. I’ve put in too much work and time to ever second guess if this was the career path I wanted to take. I don’t even necessarily consider it a career or a job making music. I just love what I do and my goal is to be able to do what I love for a living.
6. Have you ever thought about quitting music?
I’ve had times where I got discouraged but I could never imagine myself not making music. I grew up with a mom who is a talented singer. She inspired me to make music honestly. She used to put on her own shows and have a whole audience performing her in music with a live band and background singers. All of that carried over to me and I fell in love with music and the whole process of creating.
7. Who inspires you the most?
My mom inspires me. Like I said she used to put on her own shows and I would be back stage and at all the rehearsals watching everything.
8.What got you into making music?
When I was 11 or 12 I woke up from a dream, went to the piano in the living room of our house, and I started playing “Fur Elise” by Beethoven. Then I just kept learning more by ear and YouTube videos. Eventually I started playing piano for my church, where my grandfather is the pastor, and I’ve been playing there ever since. Then when I graduated high school I met producer, Lil Nunu and laid melodies. Then I started learning to make my own beats switching from Logic Pro to FL studio and also recording on my own beats. Once I did that I realized I can do whatever I want and I kept going.
9.Who is your favorite producer?
I have a couple honestly. Zaytoven, Scott Storch, Blxst, Timbaland, Mr. Wilson on the Beat, Elijah Gates, Lil Nunu, Joey Knocks, Zay Coronado and myself of course.
10. What is one of your best songs/beats?
One of my favorite songs at the moment is 2AM by Tobi Lou ft. T-Pain.
11. Are you signed to a record or label?
No I am not
12. Have you ever performed?
Yes. I’ve opened for Eric Bellinger and Drakeo. I’m definitely going to be performing more this year though.
13. Who would you most likely collaborate with?
I would collab with Blxst, Eric bellinger, Chris Brown, Ty dolla sign, and Nija for sure.
14. If you could open for any artist who would it be?
If I could open for any artist it would be Blxst. He is super talented and I really like the vibe of his music and the fact he produced a lot of his own tracks like myself.
15. What’s next for you?
Next for me is of course more music coming really soon, more visuals, more beats, more placements, more plaques! I got my first plaque with my team member of The Wav Godz, Mr. Wilson on the Beat just recently. We produced “U My Bae” by Aqu@riu$, which went #38 on the billboard charts and also charted on Urban Radio and iHeart Radio. There’s also a remix featuring NY legend, Fatman Scoop So we’re definitely going for that #1 spot next. Getting that plaque was definitely a special moment to appreciate after all the work that I’ve invested into my craft.
