What is your name/stage name? My stage name is “Shark Breach”, I was previously known as just “Shark” for a little while and added the “Breach” at the beginning of 2022
Where are you from? I was born in Washington D.C. and grew up all throughout PG County Maryland
What do you do? Musically i can pretty much do it all, Of course i do vocals but i also mix and engineer my own tracks. I also produce beats and have for so long before I started rapping. I produced a bunch of tracks for my best friend and artist “Sybyr”. Lastly, i can shoot and edit music videos.
How long have you been making music? – I’ve played with instruments since I was a kid but I started producing on FL Studio in the 8th Grade and still use it till this day.
Who’s your biggest inspiration? My favorite artist growing up was Wiz Khalifa, he’s probably a good reason why I smoke as much weed as i do today lol.
What genre of music do you create? I would say I’m creating a new style and wave of alternative hip-hop. My music has a certain uniqueness to it.
What was it like working with (collabs?) Working with “Sybyr” is natural and easy. He’s been my best friend since sophomore year in high school so when we work it just runs smoothly.
What are some features you have? Some artists I have featured with are Sybyr, Fukkit, Kamiyada, Yvncc, Swerzie, Ghostie, Win32 and a bunch of other friends and producers that I really work well with.
What are some features you want to get? My dream collab is with Wiz Khalifa, our flows match up so well, the song would run smooth.
Who’s one person, dead or alive, that you’d want to work with? I would’ve loved to work with pop smoke, he was really going to be something special and next level that people were not even ready for. I’m sad about his passing till this day.
Are you signed to a label? I am not signed to a label at the moment but I’ll work to get there eventually.
Do you want a record deal, a distribution deal, or none? I’m open to both a record & distribution deal.
Who are your biggest supporters? My biggest supporters i’d say are my best friend Sybyr, my friend and manager Jose, My Girlfriend & My Dad
Where did your name come from? I chose shark after thinking about the most feared predator, i also thought about what would be one of the worst ways to die and shark is what I came up with. I added the “breach” to the shark later on to be easier to look up.
What are you currently working on? – I’m currently working on the “YLN Deluxe ” project which is the deluxe to my latest release “YLN ”. The deluxe project is dropping sometime in july.
What is your latest release? My latest release is a project called “YLN”which stand for “Young Lost Niggas”. It’s a duo collaboration project with another artist named “Sybyr”. The project was released on May 27th and was fully mixed and mastered by me as well as recorded and engineered. Believe it or not I freestyled most of the songs on there. I’ll link it below!
When is your next release? My next release is “YLN Deluxe” Dropping Mid July
