What is your name/stage name?
My stage name is Ted Dutch but everyone calls me Dutch.
Where are you from?
I’m from Washington, DC.. The Northside raised
me but The Soufside made me.
What do you do?
I’m a Hip Hop artist, Creator, Actor, and
independent label owner.
How long have you been making music?
I’ve been making music for 15 years
but full time for 3.
Who’s your biggest inspiration?
I’d have to say my biggest inspiration is people! Just in
general how strong, creative, passionate, and powerful
we’ve become, there’s just no limit to what we can do!
What genre of music do you create?
I do what the beat tells me. I’m an artist so I don’t limit
myself on the canvas. Be it rap R&B or pop if I’m feeling it
and it’s a hit I’ll start creating.
What was it like working with (collabs?)
That’s one of the things I didn’t focus much on. I mean
I have some collabs in mind going forward but I was
just much into finding my sound and target audience.
What are some features you have?
I don’t have any at the moment, looking to make a big
impact with collabs this year.
What are some features you want to get?
I want the best person at that time of creating. I mean I can
name a few but it doesn’t necessarily mean it’ll fit or flow.
You know? Any feature that happens natural and we both walk
on it then that’s what I want to get.
Who’s one person, dead or alive, that you’d want to work with?
I’d love to work with Jay Z. No Question! He’s the epitome of Success.
Are you signed to a label?
No I’m not currently signed to any label.
Do you want a record deal, a distribution deal, or none?
Actually, I’m looking for the best situation for me. I’d love
to stay independent but if signing a deal or agreement makes
sense business wise then I can down about it.
Who are your biggest supporters?
My biggest supporters are people I don’t even l know. It’s crazy
cause I really got this out the mud by myself and to hear people
from London or Canada or anywhere tell me I made their day with
my music keeps the battery in my back!
Where did your name come from?
I use to go by God Son years ago and when I left that bad situation
I rebranded and came up with TED which are just my initials and
DUTCH cause at one point it was all about honey Dutch’s…lol
What are you currently working on?
Right now im working on my first album titled
“Halfway in All The Way Out”.
What is your latest release?
My latest release was “CHANEL” extremely dope
track from the beat to the creativity!
When is your next release?
My next release is July prepare for the fireworks.
