Interview With Lil Roe, RoeGod Lil Roe.

1. What’s your name?

“I’m Lil Roe. RoeGod Lil Roe.

2. Where are you from?

“I’m from the Northwest suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. But I was born in Hoffman Estates, Illinois for those who want to know.”

3. How old are you?

“23. I have the same birthday as Polo G, weird as f*ck”.

4 .When did you start making music

“I had my first rap name when I was like 2, so literally bro I’ve been making music since a baby. Sh*t I don’t even make music, music makes me to be honest.”

5. How serious are you about your career?

“Man I’m so serious about it if I get asked this again I’m gonna make a song called “I’m so serious”. But no for real though, this is all I got. I might not be dropping songs back to back like everyone else, but that’s only because I’m perfecting my craft and building my songs. Whatever song I put out, I want people to notice my growth I don’t want to sound the same as I last year.”

6. Have you ever thought about quitting music?

“More than thought about it I’ve done it. I’ve quit a lot. Or at least I always said that I quit. My actions never really matched the words.”

7. Who inspires you the most?

“YAH, God, The Most High. I’m only here because of him. He sent me here, he gave me life. That’s why I’m a RoeGod. When you see me you God. He’s in me.”

8.What got you into making music?

“Watching my parents and my older cousins make music while I was a kid. Sitting in the studio while they recorded their tracks, listening to my Dad and my cousins rap, or my mom sing man I used to be in awe like I had a front seat at a concert somewhere. I can’t even describe the feeling I had but it’s because of that feeling. My it was soothing my soul bro.”

9.Who is your favorite producer?

“Nick Mira. Something about the way his instrumentals beat as well the energy and the vibe, dude just raw.”

10. What is one of your best songs/beats?

“Umm songs? I have a song called “Drift” and to me that song speaks volume. It’s unreleased, but that song? You have to really listen to. My wordplay, the messages, the pictures I paint you as I’m rapping. If you can’t feel that song you just don’t have any feelings.”

11. Are you signed to a record or label?

“Nah, right now I’m just working you know? I can see it coming up though.”

12. Have you ever performed?

“Yeah. I can’t wait to perform again. I be lit on stage.”

13. Who would you most likely collaborate with?

“Either Polo G or Calboy. I rock with they music heavy.”

14. If you could open for any artist who would it be?

“Durk. There’s nobody bigger than him right now. Especially in my area. So I know his shows jumping like Soulja Boy when he “Superman” you feel me?”

15. What’s next for you?

“I have a song coming out late April. After that? Take off. That song I’m dropping is me on some “Here I come.” type of sh*t, so stay on your toes cause once I start up there’s no telling when I’ll stop.”
