D LES Is Putting Buffalo On His Back And Aiming For Global Reach

Buffalo has always been known for its tough streets and even tougher talent. Rising out of that environment is D LES, an MC who’s built his career on consistency, hunger, and purpose. After more than ten years in the game, he’s not just chasing streams—he’s moving with intention. For D LES, it all comes back to one reason: his daughter. She’s the force behind every line, every song, and every move he makes.

His early days started with Caution Tape, a passion project he put together with his brother Joey Blanco. It was straight grit—pure mixtape energy that gave him the foundation to grow from an underground grinder to a polished, purpose-driven artist. These days, D LES is rapping with a refined voice, one that uplifts those chasing something bigger than themselves.

He’s already proven his weight on tracks with street favorites like OT The Real and Fuego Base. But when it comes to dream collaborations, D LES thinks beyond rap. He cites Michael Jackson as the artist he’d want to work with most, blending ambition with vision that stretches far past genre lines.

D LES is independent, and proud of it. When asked about labels or distribution, his answer is simple—“All of the above.” He’s not waiting on a deal. He’s building his own.

Outside the booth, D LES is hands-on with every aspect of his art. He writes his own video treatments and oversees visual direction, making sure every frame lines up with the message. While hip-hop is his medium, his connection to Christian music keeps him centered. It’s that balance between the streets and the spiritual that separates him from most.

He recently hit the mic for The After Hour Show, delivering a live performance that turned heads. No rollouts. No industry playbook. Just the raw product. A new drop is coming soon, and fans know it’s going to hit without warning.

D LES already opened for the Migos at the Blue Cross Blue Shield Arena, one of the biggest stages he’s touched so far. But his sights are set even higher. He wants to perform in Japan. He dreams of hitting the road with Wiz Khalifa. And he’s working every day toward turning Just Dre Productions into a full-scale label of his own.

Five years from now, don’t be surprised to see D LES on Forbes, still calling his own shots, still rooted in Buffalo, and still rapping like he has everything to prove.
