Chrisean Rock Explains Why She Walked Toward Police With Her Son During Blueface’s Arrest

Chrisean Rock is facing intense backlash after explaining why she carried her young son toward police officers with their guns drawn during Blueface’s recent arrest in Santa Clarita, California. The reality star addressed the controversial moment during a Kick livestream, describing her actions as an expression of loyalty to her family. However, her explanation has sparked renewed debate about her decisions as a parent and the risks involved in bringing a child into a tense police encounter.

The incident occurred on October 19, when Blueface was confronted by officers in a parking lot outside a Yard House restaurant. Police were reportedly responding to a call about a man with a gun. Livestream footage captured the tense exchange as officers pointed their weapons toward Blueface and eventually took him into custody on suspicion of delaying or obstructing an investigation.

According to Rock, seeing officers aim their weapons at Blueface prompted her to retrieve their son, Chrisean Jr., from his car seat and approach the scene with him in her arms.

“When I see them take out the gun and point it towards Blue, I went and got the baby from the car seat and walked out in front of the gun,” she explained during her livestream. Rock said she wanted officers to recognize that an innocent family was present and insisted she wasn’t going to stand by while Blueface faced the situation alone.

She later doubled down on her reasoning, describing the decision as an act of loyalty and defending her choice to approach officers while holding her son.

Social media users, however, have questioned that explanation. Critics argue that bringing a toddler closer to armed officers could have placed the child in unnecessary danger. Others have questioned whether the move was appropriate, regardless of Rock’s intentions.

Blueface also weighed in on the controversy during his own livestream. He criticized the decision, saying he would never bring their son into a potentially dangerous confrontation involving firearms.

The disagreement highlights the complicated dynamic between the former couple, whose relationship and parenting decisions have repeatedly played out in front of online audiences.

While Rock maintains that she was standing by her family, the backlash underscores a broader concern: during an armed police encounter, keeping children away from the confrontation is critical to their safety.
