50 Cent’s long-running feud with Rick Ross has taken another turn after the man accused of assaulting Ross’ son publicly thanked the G-Unit mogul for his support.
In a video shared on social media, Don Roberts III addressed 50 Cent after being accused of attacking William Roberts III, Rick Ross’ son. Roberts maintained that he was innocent while expressing gratitude to the rapper for standing behind him during the legal situation.
“I appreciate everybody who believed in me, my family and my friends. I’m innocent. The Lord know I’m innocent. 50, I appreciate you for everything you’re doing for me and believing in my innocence,” Roberts said.
50 Cent later reposted the video and offered his own reaction, writing, “I had a strong feeling this brother was innocent, 👀who snitching.”
It remains unclear exactly what assistance 50 provided. The rapper had previously announced that he intended to help secure Roberts’ release and said he was contacting attorney Drew Findling. However, it has not been independently confirmed whether 50 personally paid the bond.
What Happened To Rick Ross’ Son?
According to reports citing police records, William Roberts III was speaking with a woman in Daytona Beach, Florida, when Don Roberts allegedly approached him. Investigators were told that the woman had previously been involved with the accused man.
William reportedly told police that Don threatened him with a handgun before striking him with the weapon. The incident allegedly occurred on October 11, and Don Roberts was subsequently arrested on charges involving aggravated assault and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
The accusations have not been proven in court, and Don Roberts has publicly maintained his innocence.
50 Cent Continues His Feud With Rick Ross
After news of the alleged attack surfaced, 50 Cent took to Instagram to mock Rick Ross, questioning why the rapper’s son had contacted the authorities rather than turning to his father. He also offered to help the accused man and referenced his movie Street Fighter while describing the incident as a misunderstanding.
The posts sparked criticism from Tia Kemp, William’s mother, who called out 50 for making jokes about the situation. Their disagreement subsequently spilled onto social media.
The latest exchange adds another chapter to the long-running rivalry between 50 Cent and Rick Ross. While 50 continues to publicly support the accused man, the legal case remains separate from the rappers’ personal feud.
For now, the central questions remain whether 50 helped pay Roberts’ bond and how the criminal proceedings will unfold. Neither the rapper’s public support nor the accused man’s statements establish what happened during the alleged confrontation.
