34Jay Speaks On His Artist Name

Where did your name come from? The number 34 represents growth and expansion. Jay is the abbreviated nickname everyone outside of close relatives know me by.

Do you write your own material? Yes, I’ve written all of my own material in my career so far.

Do you create your own music video concepts? I plan to create my own music video concepts, yes.

What’s your favorite music to listen to? My favorite music would have to be Lo-fi.

What are you currently working on? I’m currently working on new music video concepts and planning a tour consisting of 15 states.

What is your latest release? My latest and most anticipated release is titled “No Features 2”. Go check it out, available right now on all streaming platforms.

When is your next release? I have NDA agreements in effect that don’t allow me to discuss the dates or time frames for new releases.

Are you the type to pull up alone or with a group of people? I keep shooters real close, I won’t keep that a secret.

What is one stage you want to sell-out? Coachella for sure.

Where is one place you want to travel to perform? Las Vegas, Nevada.

What’s the biggest crowd that you have performed for? I performed in front of a crowd of about 1500 at a local event in my city.

Who’s someone you can see yourself on tour with? I could tour with Nocap, I admire his serious dedication to music and he has an extremely loyal fan-base.

Who produces your music? T.trendin has produced the most of my music over the last 2 years.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? I can’t say exactly, I just know I’ll be somewhere thankful that I lived another half-decade.

What’s your favorite clothing brand? Amiri. People disrespect Mike Amiri, but I believe he has a unrivaled creative vision that will continue to revolutionize the fashion industry.

Where do you shop? My favorite store right now is probably Target, it’s super convenient for me especially when traveling.

What’s your favorite type of car? Tesla. Electric powered cars are becoming the new norm.

What’s your favorite place to travel to? Home. There’s no place like home.

Did COVID change your career for better or worse? Covid impacted me on a personal level, especially after being inflicted with the sickness. I developed a new-found sense of passion for music and I believe that in its own way contributed to the betterment of my career.
